"This workshop will provide an overview of pharmaceutical services, in particular the contractual frameworks including enhanced and locally commissioned services. It is an introductory session and is aimed at NHS England, clinical commissioning groups and local authority public health teams seeking an understanding of the wider contractual and commissioning framework, especially those new to pharmacy or those that would like a refresher."

Event: Shaping pharmacy for the future

"Pharmacists are the third largest NHS health profession, see more patients each day than any other part of the NHS, and unlike GPs and nurses, their numbers are on the increase. As the NHS and social care system tackles the increasing pressure caused by constrained funding, an ageing population with multiple long term conditions and concerns to sustain and improve care quality, there is a major opportunity to develop further the role of pharmacists, including finding ways of enabling them to assume a greater role in direct patient care."
